Sokcho: Along the Northeastern part of Korea, it is both by the ocean and close to the northern border. What little I saw of the city itself didn’t strike me as particularly lively but the natural beauty surrounding it makes up for any lack human excitement. Seoul and hiking Seoraksan: Part 1

Leaving to go to Seoul felt rather rushed but now that we’re on the bus and have several hours of sitting ahead of us, I can relax. My two companions sit in adjoining seats; an isle and another person between them an myself.

Quick Update
AsideI had a long weekend this past week because Monday and Tuesday were holidays: Buddha’s birthday and Children’s Day. I traveled to Seoul (my first time) and Sokcho. More about those later.
Anyway, my weekend basically boils down to a lot of walking, hiking, and sitting on the beach. And taking pictures, naturally. I jumped back into this short weekend and haven’t had any time to really work on a blog post to do my trip justice. So…consider this a teaser.
I’ll have the real thing posted soon but until then, enjoy a few pictures.
